Tilaï - The Law

CHF 14.90 / EUR 13.80

A film by Idrissa Ouedraogo
Burkina Faso, 1990

This stark and compelling film tells of Saga’s return to his village and his tragic discovery that his fiancée, Nogma, has married during his absence. The fact that her new husband is Saga’s own father creates a conflict of oedipal proportions. Their continued love violates «tilai», the village code of honor prohibiting incest.
