Alejandro Fernandez Almendras (Chillán, Chile, 1971) got his degree in Journalism at the University of Chile in 1996. He has worked as a film critic, photographer and journalist. Since 2002, he has directed several short films, including «La ofrenda» (The Offering) (2003); «Desde lejos» (From Afar) (2006); and «Lo que trae la lluvia» (Along Came the Rain), which have screened at festivals such as Berlin, IndieLisboa, Huesca, Sao Paulo, Drama, Monterrey, Valdi…
