Mohammad Rasoulof was born in Shiraz in 1972. He began his artistic activity at the age of nine when he performed in the theatre in Shiraz and later worked as a director and writer for the theatre. He studied socialogy at Shiraz University and film editing at the Sooreh Higher Education Institute in Tehran.
