Au loin des villages
Im April 2006 flohen 13 000 Dajos und fanden Unterschlupf auf der Ebene von Gouroukoun im Osten des Tschad. Alle sind sie Ăśberlebende des Krieges in Darfur. Sie haben ein Lager gebaut und eingerichtet, haben sich eingeschlossen und eine Form des Ăśberlebens erfunden.
Der Autor seinerseits hat sich in dieses Gefängnis ohne Mauern begeben. In ruhigen, geduldigen Aufnahmen erzählt er von der endlos wirkenden Zeit des Wartens. Ein Leben in Zeitlupe, das schwebt ausgesetzt in der Armut. Flüchtlinge erzählen, Kinder machen Zeichnungen vom Krieg, Mädchen singen Kriegslieder: Ein Film vom Krieg ohne ein einziges Kriegsbild.
