All That's Left of You

After a Palestinian teen confronts Israeli soldiers at a West Bank protest, his mother recounts the series of events that led him to that fateful moment, starting with his grandfather’s forced displacement.

In her extraordinary, profoundly moving third feature, Palestinian American actor and filmmaker Cherien Dabis (Amreeka, 2009; May in the Summer, 2013) chronicles the lives of three generations of a Palestinian family spanning almost 75 years of history.

Press voices

«There is purpose behind the seemingly simplistic quality of Dabis’s approach, and it actually pays off.» New York Magazine

«Dabis’ approach is never maudlin, capturing how choices within relationships can have an impact not just across generations but cultures and even from friends to enemies.» RogerEbert

«A film whose thoughtfulness is amplified by strong performances.» The Hollywood Reporter

«With a compassionate, observant look at generational trauma, this is a meaningful contribution toward Palestinian narratives — but also an uneven one.» Variety
